We appreciate all the organizations who took time to make their nominations. It is not an easy effort to submit nominations for our awards. We have certain criteria that must be addressed through their nomination and it takes time and dedication to make these submissions. So we thank all the organization’s representatives who submitted nominations.
Next we thank our Judging committee. Our judging committee reviews each nomination against our criteria for each category and their combined score gives us our Finalists. So, to be a Finalist is a BIG DEAL and a big honor. Our judging committee for these 2024 Coin Awards were:
–Jon Cameron, Consultant, formerly with US Mint, BEP and Federal Reserve
–Tomasz Jagielinksi, President/CEO of NXTGenDetect
–Brian Lang, EVP IACA, Advisor and former Head of Currency, RBNZ
–Ross MacDiarmid, Former CEO of Royal Australian Mint and former ED for MDC/ MDA
–Astrid Mitchell, Chief Executive, Reconnaissance International
–Lydia Yip, Advisor to Central Banks, former Head of Currency, HKMA
Next, our IACA Voting Members have the responsibility to review the Finalist projects and select the project they feel are best in each category. Each member organization has a certain number of voting delegates that they name. So, we thank our voting members for taking time to do this.
And last –but not least—we thank the Currency News/Coin Conference team—the organizers of the conference for sponsoring the Awards and giving us the conference platform to announce the winners.
Congratulations to all these great projects—most especially to our Winners! You can read all about each of these projects on our website in our Awards Catalogue.
