The 2010 Series Hong Kong Banknotes are issued by three note issuing Banks in Hong Kong. Standard Chartered (Hong Kong) Limited. The Hong Kong Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited and Bank of China ( Hong Kong) Limited.

The new $1000 and $500 notes are already in circulation and notes of the remaining denominations of $100, $50 an $20 will go into circulation starting late 2011.

The new banknotes have incorporated advanced security features which are effective and easy to recognize.Braille and Tactile lines are embossed on the new banknotes facilitating the visually impaired to differentiate the denominations.
