The aim of the project is to encourage household clients to make efficient use of coins stored in households by making it possible for the client to deposit coins into a machine in order to exchange them for the equivalent amount paid at the cash desk of the NBP branch in higher denominations or to transfer the equivalent amount to an account held at a commercial bank via the BLIK payment system. The project uses the appropriate functionality of the machine and a mobile banking application installed on the client’s smartphone.
So far, 21 machines have been installed in 16 NBP Regional Branches (one or two in each branch). In 2022 Q4, seven more machines will be delivered.
