Project Description
Creation of a brand new housenote family to present our latest innovations in design, print and security features including our premium micro-lens security threads.
Design Theme
To mark the 40th anniversary of our Group, we launched a new series of banknotes.
These notes are designed to present our Company’s expertise in banknote printing and to honour the legacy of our founder, François-Charles Oberthur, as Jean-Pierre Savare, who transformed the company into a successful group.
For this new series, we have chosen the theme of butterflies, which symbolise the spirit of our founder, transformation and beauty. For four decades, our family business has been a leader in the fiduciary sector, combining innovation and expertise. This new series not only celebrates our rich history, it also illustrates the artistic mastery and advanced techniques that define our work.
Integration of Security Features
We have integrated many different scurity features in the 5 notes of this butterflies family:
-By creating the Arc-en-Ciel™ security feature, we have reproduced effects of butterflies colour transitionsin high security banknote printing.
-The Pulsar™ high security thread has been designed with dynamic movement and color changes thanks to continuous micro-mirrors
-With the HD Vision™ watermark, VHP Security Paper assures customers of watermarks of unparalleled definition. The patented technology built into this watermark enables us to exceed the definition limits of standard watermarks.
-Highlink™ improves the internal strength of the structure of banknote paper. Acting as a superglue between the fibres, the Highlink™ solution strengthens cohesion by consolidating the fibres.
-The Anima™ high security thread captures our attention with rapid, impactful movements. That is because the patented technology of Anima™ incorporates micro-lenses combined with ultra-high resolution printing makeing it possible to introduce extremely fine dynamic effects into high security threads with a multitude of possible options.
- Banknote paper is mainly made up of cotton fibres, but it can be adapted by introducing a proportion of compatible fibres produced locally. The fibre selected will add mechanical strength to the paper and significantly reduce the environmental impact of paper production.
This also enables central banks to promote local agriculture, contribute to the local economy and create a link between the population and the country’s banknotes.
Other Aspects
The Anima™ high security thread was launched with this series. It captures our attention with rapid, impactful movements. That is because the patented technology of Anima™ incorporates micro-lenses combined with ultra-high resolution printing makeing it possible to introduce extremely fine dynamic effects into high security threads with a multitude of possible options.
