Project Description
This Housenote celebrates the release of the RollingStar Patch, with impressive security effects based on micromirror and ColorShift™ technologies, on a modern and symbolic housenote. This highly intuitive feature is immediately recognizable and not only enhances storytelling on banknotes but significantly boosts their authentication and security at the first line of defence-the public. The challenge is to show effects on the patch which are clear, memorable and easy to identify. The banknote combines a timeless story of the past on front….. in the shape of the moon, featuring a passing owl and twinkling stars, the patch exhibits a mesmerizing captivating gold-to-green color shift.
Design Theme
We showcase the fairy tale of “Star Money” on a Banknote and combine it with an interesting, new approach of storytelling by explaining a fairy tale on a banknote. The front side shows the core scenery of the fairy tale and the reverse side shows a woman with 2 children, reading aloud the story. The watermark shows an owl too, like the patch and printed elements. Subtle warm printed colors round out the story. The RollingStar® Patch adds real value to any banknote. This new high-tech feature not only makes storytelling on banknotes much more attractive, but above all it makes them even more secure. On the back, we find the RollingStar®i+ security thread, in the midst of fictional picture of a mother reading to her children the story of the little girl, whose generosity brought her the stars from the sky.
Integration of Security Features
Our new RollingStar® Patch combines two of our leading security technologies: Micromirrors and the ColorShift™ technology. This makes the colorful foil highly reflective and enables the integration of a range of 3D-like images with dynamic and detailed effects in high resolution that are unmatched by other features.
These effects become visible as the banknote is tilted – even in low-light situations. In particular, the ColorShift™ effect available in different color combinations and offers faster authentication compared to fixed-color motifs. A new level of counterfeit protection that can only be achieved with such patch elements. In addition to the ColorShift™, the key effects on this patch are:
1 a motif flip from 200 to stars
2 pumping stars
3 a galaxy depth effect in the clouds, and
4 dynamic running light in the feathers of the arched owl
5 fine dementalizations are underlining the banknotes approach and the design integration.
The Rolling Star® Patch can be any shape and can be placed almost anywhere on the banknote. Its extensive versatility gives you maximum design freedom to make banknote verification easier and counterfeiters’ lives very difficult.
Other Aspects
The reverse side shows a 2mm RollingStar i+ thread with dynamic opposing light bars, effect gold to jade (SPARK adjusted). .
The paper in made of cotton and has a high resolution watermark.
