Description

AVALON is a Fluorescent Interactive Feature which has the unique ability to change colour when activated by an external excitation.
The printed element, AVALON, fluoresces blue when viewed under 365nm.
As soon as it is excited (ie activated by means of a smooth device – such as a paper clip, coin, or edge of a credit card- that is then used to apply a smooth pressure to the area of fluorescent ink) the printed element turns yellow under 365nm in the areas where it has been excited / activated.
The particularity of the feature is that the affected area returns to its initial state (fluorescing blue) after some time (seconds or minutes depending on the pressure applied).

Improved security

We have developed an entirely new and interactive effect that will enable fluorescence to strengthen its value as a second and third level security feature for banknotes. We expect it to generate significant interest as a printed fluorescent feature that can be used to secure new and upgraded series of banknotes.
