Appointment of Executive Director
The Board of Directors of the International Association of Currency Affairs is pleased to announce the appointment of Marci Chavez as Executive Director. She will replace Eugenie Foster, who will retire at the close of 2021, after serving in the position since 2011. The Board would like to express its great appreciation for the dedication, energy and leadership Eugenie has brought to IACA over the ten years of her stewardship.
Marci has worked in the Currency Industry for more than 25 years. She first worked with Currency Systems International (now known as Cash Processing Solutions) for 6 years in the Finance department and served as CFO in her final years there. After working as a Financial Consultant, she took a full-time position with Currency Research as CFO and Sponsor Coordinator. She was promoted to Vice-President and later served as President from 2011 until November 2020. Marci was integral in the formation of IACA in 2004 and served as Treasurer and later as a Member of the Board of Directors until late 2020. She has a passion for the Currency Industry and for the companies and professionals who work to keep cash relevant, safe, and resilient.
The Board welcomes Marci to her new role and looks forward to working with her to assure that IACA continues to serve its members and the Currency community.
